I embody the journey of life...

"The journey from childhood to parenthood, from simple to complex, from shallow to the deepest depth, from subtle death to the appreciation of the breath of life, from being a stranger in a vast land to being a true friend, from being the pleasure of female finesse to the dedication, loyalty and strength of a wife. Thats me, JUST CALL ME JOURNEY."

JOURNEY, (Vocalist, songwriter, and melodious poet), began her path through the music arena while singing with the nationally traveled gospel group, Chosen A Capella and performing at Detroit’s local open mic poetry venues. It was here that Journey overcame stage fright and the demands of public performance. The beauty of raw expression and precise a’capella discipline filled her with the passion to deliver the gift of melody to all. As a writer, her lyrics speak of a survivor's life through music, rhythm, and emotion. As a vocalist, she brings a pure, unique sweet savor to melody.

Journey has sung background vocals for various local artists, graced open mics all around metro Detroit, has performed at the local Charles H. Wright African American History Museum, the African World Festival hosted at Hart Plaza, the 1st Annual Highland Park Festival, and opened for the acclaimed Soul artist "Jaguar Wright”. She is currently working on her own solo project, and continues to perform throughout the nation. Journey is on a path, using her voice and pen to uplift and inspire others around the globe. When destiny knocks, she is sure to answer.
